Hallo, fellow Shoeboxers! For some reason, I have stayed up to this ungodly hour just because I was creating my ideal SBP movie cast. Being the kind, generous person that I am, I decided to share it, cause that's how I roll. So, I have them all figured out but Snape. I just couldn't think of anyone. Hmpf.
Who's your ideal Shoebox film cast?
( if by tropical, you mean devonshire (and i do). )

8:06p Quotation of the Week July 13-19 2009 - tabula_x_rasa's 'Up the Line'
Gerard's wants at this point consisted almost entirely of food, sleep, cigarettes and having Mikey somewhere nearby. He didn't even really want the war to end or to go home, because he wasn't sure the war could end and they were all well past the point of going home. Gerard couldn't imagine what there was to talk about with someone who hadn't seen No Man's Land. It was much too big to talk around. Impossible to talk about.
On the whole Gerard was content to stand around and wait, and he didn't think too much about any one thing. He tried to blow smoke rings, but it was too windy. He wasn't worried about Mikey finding him; Mikey was excellent at finding Gerard.
The evening hate bombardment started up; it wouldn't be too much longer until it was dark, and then Gerard and Mikey could go over the top and start pulling out men who looked likely to survive the transport.

2:24p a shoebox moment at a dancing competition?
So the other day I was shifting props backstage at state competitions when suddenly a whole row of cabbages (painted on cardboard and glued onto stands) needed to be moved out of the way of somebody else's props. One of the official prop people came bustling past and asked myself and the other members of my dancing school who were waiting to do our own props, "Are these your cabbages?"
To which I proudly proclaimed, "I am no-ones cabbage before ten in the morning!"
Sadly, since nobody in the whole building would have read shoebox (unless by some amazing fluke) I had nobody to share my shoebox moment with :( so I thought I'd better post it here.

5:39p hip hip hooray for me
Happy 2,000 entries anniversary to me! (Which comes out as around 1.3 entries per day since I started this journal. I'd no idea I was that garrulous :-)
I've uploaded my folder of Sloss Furnace pics for hammerhead22 and perhaps someone else might want them too: 2008-05 at Sloss Furnace by Ryan Russel.zip (8MB, sendspace)
There's certainly going to be a lot of prompts to chose from for those who sign up for the bandom h/c challenge. A LOT!!! And some of them are for stories even I would like to read ;-)

11:00p 20 MCR icons
It looks like July is going to be a productive month for me - very strange since I'm usually not at my best during the summer. Anyway, here's a bunch of icons from the Sloss Furnace b/w shoot I've had cropped and ready on my harddrive since back in April but didn't finish until now.
1 Bob, 3 Frank, 1 Gerard, 1 Ray, 14 mixed
Teasers:

( The icons are here... )
